Platform compatibility

Official compatibility includes Windows 10+/Steam Deck, PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Raspberry Pi builds, and MiSTer. Android, Linux, iPadOS, macOS, and Windows are listed for keyboard mode.

PS5 use requires a separately supplied compatible passthrough or authentication accessory and the appropriate controller configuration. The C16 does not have native or universal PS5 compatibility.

Firmware and configuration

To open the C16 web configurator, hold START while connecting the controller to a computer, then open http://192.168.7.1 in a browser. The configurator provides access to button mapping, input modes, SOCD behaviour, lighting, and compatible add-ons.

Before updating, back up the controller settings using Data Backup and Restoration. Only install firmware that COSMOX specifically lists as compatible with the C16. Firmware intended for another model may affect button mappings, lighting, displays, or other functions. Follow the current manufacturer instructions and do not disconnect the controller while a firmware file is being written.

Haute42/COSMOX Booter 5

What it is The Booter 5 is a passthrough and authentication adapter for compatible HautePad controllers with an EXT port. Controller setup The Booter 5 does not have a separately listed customer firmware update. Firmware updates apply to the compatible HautePad controller connected to it. Make sure the controller is running firmware approved for its exact model. Open the controller’s web configurator and go to Settings → PS5/PS4 → Host USB. Select Host USB and save the setting. Disconnect the controller and insert the Booter 5 into the controller’s EXT port. Connect the controller’s main USB port to the console.
